How to Tighten Your Toosh ~ Skin Smoothie!

Here is an easy, healthy skin moisturizer that's literally packed full of skin smoothing, tightening and brightening benefits ~ all from just 2 ingredients: {Fractionated} Coconut Oil and doTERRA Grapefruit EO.

Re-purpose a shampoo bottle with a squirt cap, pour an 4oz bottle of doTERRA **Fractionated Coconut Oil (other brands available from Amazon and Health Food Stores) into the empty bottle as well as an entire bottle of Grapefruit EO.

After your shower, rub this into your skin, particularly those "bumpy" places on toosh and thighs...you know what I mean?

Grapefruit EO is loaded with vitamin C and Monoterpenes, which have a stimulating effect and inhibit accumulation of toxins from liver and kidneys.  Grapefruit juice has long been touted as a fat burner, you can drink it AND you can apply the EO topically to be absorbed where you need it most!

You'll also be pleased with the mood lifting properties, I feel downright cheery after infusing the whole bathroom and myself with the citrusy scent of grapefruit!  Of course, coconut oil is a love...I don't think I need to ramble on about all the healthy, moisturizing benefits of coconut oil.

**Fractionated coconut oil is simply a carrier oil that allows essential oils to be spread evenly.

Just another simple, natural and effective way to incorporate EOs into your life!

Wellness and beauty...one enhancing the other.

I use it and it feels great and, smells great! I'm using this along with the weight loss program. I need all the metabolism boosting I can get :) Once again, if you invest in pure essential oils, you know that when you apply them topically...they're being absorbed into your bloodstream pronto! Only CPTG essential oils can penetrate cell walls, which is why essential oils are effective against MRSA when antibiotics can't touch it.

So you said to mix an 8 oz bottle of fractionated coconut oil and "an entire bottle of Grapefruit EO." How many ounces of grapefruit oil?

oops...I should have clarified that! Standard size doTERRA bottle of EO is 15ml which converts to a half ounce.

Wow! Thanks for this! I love my coconut oil and have been using it as a moisturizer at night. Lately I have also added Frankincense for the spot lightening properties! Love it!

Need to try your grapefruit recipe for my, uh, bumpy spot! ;)

I know you've said that plastic and EOs "don't play well together," but is it ok to use a plastic shampoo bottle for this "recipe" or should I stick to glass? Thanks!

Susie, I have my Grapefruit FCO in plastic...I'm not ingesting it so I'm not too worried about the plastic/oil conflict. And for the sake of safety, I just feel better about the plastic rather than glass in the bathroom.

Oh this sounds amazing! I want to make it Pronto however, What if i wanted to start out making a tester or smaller sample to see if i like it? How much of each would I use to make, say a 4 oz container full? Some scents give me headaches and i don't want to waste ingredients.
