By a show of hands, how many wear long pants all summer to avoid showing your legs because of unsightly spider veins or varicose veins?
*raising hand*
No matter your age, spider and varicose veins can spring up for many reasons: might be due to pregnancy, having to stand for long periods of time, age or even genetics!
For most of us, spider and varicose veins aren't dangerous but, I myself don't relish showing them off. I don't like what I've got and, I don't like how they look either! So, I was beside myself with happiness when I learned of a protocol using doTERRA essential oils to reduce unsightly spider veins as well as varicose veins and, I have photos for proof too, which I'll share shortly.
I've found several protocols or, massage blends and I'll share all of them with you. You can decide which you might prefer :)
#1 In an empty bottle or small jar, mix 3 oz of an all natural lotion with 1 oz filtered water, 30 drops of Cypress EO, 15 drops of Helichrysum EO and 7 drops of Wild Orange EO. Shake or stir to mix well. Apply to legs from ankle to upper thigh, massaging into skin while moving toward the heart. Do this morning and night until the veins are noticeably reduced! You can then move towards maintenance of only one application a day.
#2 In 2 oz of Coconut Oil add 30 drops Cypress, 20 drops Lavender, 10 drops of any citrus EO. Apply morning and night, massaging oils into skin moving towards the heart. You will begin to see results in approximately one month!
The reasons for using Helichrysum and Cypress are, they help with movement of lymph and exchange stagnant blood for new blood by constricting and dilating the blood vessels. This strengthens the vascular cell wall so they can regain elasticity and do the job they're designed to do! The citrus oil helps reduce fluid retention and the Lavender, among other things, binds all these actions together. Note, that if you're going to be out in the sun after application, leave out the citrus oil to avoid intensifying the effects of the sun.

This is the protocol that I've begun, just beautiful, restorative Helichrysum essential oil. You can use an all natural lotion or, my All Purpose Healing Salve which you can make yourself {Click Here}. If using the Salve, you'll get a few extra EOs in the deal like Lavender, Melalueca and Lemon. However, you can make it with straight Helichrysum too! Look at those results, amazing! Sure beats spending hundreds of dollars on getting veins stripped or zapped by lasers, doesn't it??
I hope this has proved helpful for you, my fellow long pants. Here's to shorter lengths next summer!

Helichrysum italicum or Helichrysum gymnocephalum?
ReplyDeleteHelichrysum italicum.
DeleteDo you know what the difference is? will one work and the other not? The Helichrysum gymnocephalum is alot cheaper than the Helichrysum italicum on amazon...
DeleteNatalie, I've not used gymnocephalum so I can't give you an opinion.

DeleteI was just wondering. Are your veins still looking as good as in your great pictures above?
If you have any update pictures they would be great to see.
My husband has tried everything to sort his veins out, and he is very excited about trying your method.
Thankyou for finding the time to show these to us all !!

Julie, those aren't my legs but I would encourage you to try these oils...they're a natural, inexpensive alternative to surgical procedures.

ReplyDeleteIf your varicose veins are strengthening with essential oils, should they feel softer to the touch?
This seems to make sense as the pressure would be less in the vein wall, is that correct?
Thankyou, Julie
Rebecca, the photos of leg swelling you post in #3 above were taken from my own blog. This is my own client who gave me permission to post them, and the results were with Young Living oils--not DoTerra. You are misrepresenting yourself as a distributor of integrity. Please remove the pictures and protocol or further action will have to be taken.

Absolutely, thanks for letting me know Janet...I found this picture on the web, I'll remove it ASAP!
