I had an epiphany a while back when I was trying to juggle a bottle of essential oil, my phone and feet! I know, just put down the phone and concentrate on one thing at a time, especially EO application, but I don't live in that perfect world!
God bless the inventor of the roller bottle because this little bottle is a "smart" tool that will simplify your ever lovin essential oil world!
Today, I propose 6 roller bottle blends to keep in your home for easy everyday use!
On Guard:
This is doTERRA's Protective Blend. If you want to protect your family from cold or flu, this is your go-to EO! For families and individuals alike, On Guard in a roller bottle gives you assembly line speed when oiling up the family! Line the kids up barefoot and roll the On Guard on before they leave the house and don't forget your own feet too! Note: If you already have the cold or flu, keep rolling, On Guard can cut the duration of sick time dramatically!
doTERRA Breathe and Frankincense:
2 parts Breathe, 2 parts Frankincense, 1 part Fractionated Coconut Oil. This is my favorite combination for dry cough. Apply it to the throat and chest as needed. Breathe will open up the airways and soothe tissue. Frankincense will enhance the properties of Breathe while adding it's own superior regenerative properties.
doTERRA Lavender, Lemon & Peppermint:
1 part each. Blend these EOs together and you have yourself a powerful, natural antihistamine! When suffering from allergies, roll this blend on your feet morning and night. During the day, on your chest. This blend is also very beneficial to take internally but if you just don't have the time to open 3 bottles to fill a capsule or add to water, LLP in a roller bottle makes life a little easier!

These bottles and blends make thoughtful gifts for friends and family and they're a wonderful way for you to share essential oils!

Thank for this. I keep a roller bottle next to my bed with the sleep blend. No more waking up in the middle of the night. Theses are very helpful.
ReplyDeleteI can see where these roller bottles would come in most handy.
ReplyDeleteI am using the dry cough remedy on my 3 year old daughter. How long should I use it for to make sure the cough is gone? And still every hour?
ReplyDeleteI am also using the cold/flu bomb on the bottoms of her feet. Same questions for that, how long and how often?
Thanks!
Amie, for your daughters cough...use as needed. If shes still coughing you can treat every 1 to 2 hrs...if it's subsiding, hold off a few hours and see how she does.
ReplyDeleteCold/flu bomb on feet - 2 to 3 times a day until symtoms subside!
Thanks so much Rebecca! Used both remedies a couple times yesterday and she is already feeling better!
DeleteWONDERFUL :))
DeleteCan you help me with the measurements for the OnGuard roller ball please? How much EO to FCO? Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteCertainly! 2 parts on guard, 1 part fractionated
DeleteRebecca have you ever used the LLP for allergies on a pet? My dog take claritin for his allergies twice a day and it helps only a little. His eyes are always full of good and his face is pink (irritated). Thanks
ReplyDeleteYou could try it on his feet of even fill a capsule and put in his food. Depending on his size, most likely one drop of each oil 2 to 3x a day for the pooch.
Deletei see your picture, i am in school right now anyway, i read that oils should be in dark glass not in clear glasses... yours are in clear glasses? wondering why is it ok if in the study guide i have says it must be in dark glasses?
ReplyDeleteby the way, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your ideas, your instruction with pictures , LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Looking forward for more ideas of yours!
Hi Lori! Sometimes dark glass is hard to find, clear glass is fine if you keep the bottle out of sunlight :))
DeleteDo you have any recommendations for headaches? I would love to put something in a roller bottle for my hubby to take to work with him as he gets stress headaches almost everyday =(
ReplyDeleteA simple blend to try would be 1 part Lavender, 1 part Peppermint in a 1/6 oz roller bottle. Good for both stress and headache pain. Of course there are more headache remedies out there but this is a good start!
DeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI want to make sure I'm doing this right...if I am trying to make the Breathe Roller, I use 2 drops each Breathe and Frankincense to 1T. fractionated coconut oil?
It would be 2 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Breathe and 1 drop fractionated coconut oil. If you're filling a roller, use 20 drop each of Frankincense and Breathe and 10 drops fractionated coconut oil.
DeleteIn the focus blend, do you think Citrus bliss could be used in place of wild orange? I have peppermint and citrus bliss on hand and was thinking about making a roller blend with those oils. Thoughts?
ReplyDeleteJennifer, they're two totally different oils...Citrus Bliss isn't as "bright" as the Wild Orange but it wouldnt hurt to try combining the two. I would make a small sample to test :))
DeleteThank you! I went ahead and got some wild orange to make this blend :) I am new to essential oils and the ratios are confusing me. When you say 1 part is that equal to 10 drops? Thank you for sharing all this WONDERFUL information with the world :) Its so helpful.
Delete1 part can be whatever you need it to be depending on the size of the recipe you're making.
Delete2 parts wild orange (10 drops)
2 parts peppermint (10 drops)
1 part FCO (5 drops)
You can triple, quadruple...etc etc, this is just a ratio :))
Rebecca, first i enjoy reading all these wonderful blends....I am an IPC but not very active and your blogg really helps me to get going...
ReplyDeletemy husband has major allergies and I want to make some anti histamine blend.. with equal parts do you mean for instance 3 drops of each... and do i need to add a carrier oil?? thank you so much for all the info that you keep coming our way!!!
greetings from the Netherlands
Alie
Alie, thanks for your question!
DeleteIf you're giving your husband a capsule yes, 3 drops ea. 3 times daily.
If you want to make him a roller bottle of LLP...1 part each. Example: 20 drops ea of Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint. No need to add carrier oil. He can roll this on his feet every morning and night. If he needs something during the day, you can use this idea...
