My favorite essential oil "blend" is Peaceful Child (a blend Rebecca posted on here). Right now we have a lot of beginning of the schoolyear adjustments going on and it REALLY calms my 6 year old's nerves. I put a little on the inside of his wrists when he gets home from school and see him immediately decompress. I see him throughout the night smelling his wrist as he needs it :) It's been a lifesaver!

It helps take old cooking smells out of the house. I also do this with eucalyptus when we are all sick. Helps us all breathe better too.
ReplyDeleteLavender! and sweet orange. I made a homemade spray for my bus that I spray between schools (I have 3) I feel it helps with the spread of germs and smells super!

ReplyDeleteI also like to use the Tea Tree oil as my mold protector in the corners of the tub and bottom part of the shower doors. Add a little bit of tea tree oil to shampoo (not sure if it works or helps but I heard lice doesn't like it)

I get serious migraines I was diagnosed at Ge 2 with migraines. I love the peppermint one for migraines and allergies. I love essential oils!

ReplyDeleteBeginner to EO here- so far i have tried frankincence and peppermint...would love to try onguard this flue season. Thank you for this giveaway
ReplyDeleteThis is on my wish list for the holidays, but I would love one before then...hopefully I will get picked. I love using lavender before I go to sleep at night, but he real reason I want one is just to feel better all the time. I love essential oils and the whole idea of not using medicine.
ReplyDeleteI like the DigestZen...It really helps my son's tummy aches
ReplyDelete~MichelleC
Lavender, new to using oils so for now just putting a drop on the pillow and it's lights out.
ReplyDeleteI love BREATHE for the kids when they start getting stuffy, but for myself, I love BALANCE!
ReplyDeleteI love Lavender and use it for almost everything!!!
ReplyDeleteAs a new user of DoTerra, I have not had the opportunity to try all of the different oils and blends (although I can't wait to try them all!). I currently am using Solace to help keep myself "happy" during that miserable time of month (not to mention that my family then stays happy too :)), lavender for a little relaxation at night and PastTense for those pesky tension headaches at work and home. I have also been "sharing the love" with my co-workers, as they too love PastTense! Instead of the ibuprofen bottle, it is now PastTense for them! Peppermint has also been a big hit in the office, as 2 of my co-workers are expecting and experiencing morning sickness. They love it and so do I! I am excited to start diffusing the oils in my home, as both my husband and son have severe seasonal allergies. I am just like a little kid in a candy store, when it comes to reading and learning about EO's. Thank you for your daily posts, I look forward to them everyday!
ReplyDeleteTrying the giveaway again. Looking forward to learning more about EO's.
ReplyDeleteTea Tree Oil for just about everything!!! It was my gateway oil :)

ReplyDeleteJust starting out with using oils and making my own cleaners! this would be a nice addition! Thanks so much for doing the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWe've been using Peaceful Child blend on a grandson that is 11. It really works and you can tell when he doesn't wear his diffuser necklace to school.
ReplyDeleteSorry in advance for the TMI about my current favorite EO:
ReplyDeleteMy son is struggling with potty training. Going #2 in the potty is his stumbling block. His current explanation for his hesitancy to poo in the potty is that it makes a bad smell. No word as to why he thinks it does NOT make a bad smell if he goes in his pants. Logic is not his current strong point! Anyway, I have been using a few drops of eucalyptus oil in the potty before he goes to ease his mind about the smell. So far it has been working & helps make sitting with him in the bathroom for 20 minutes at a time a bit more pleasurable for me too!
I love lavender for a million things, but especially for burns.
ReplyDeleteI love using essential oils. I have been using them in crafts and housecleaning for years. I always put some essential oil on a cotton ball and suck it up into my vacuum before vacuuming. It makes the house smell wonderful instead of dusty. I use lemon in baking soda on my mattresses a few times a year. I mix some EO in some baking soda and put it in a canning jar with holes poked in the lid. I sprinkle it on my mattresses, let it sit for awhile and then vacuum.
ReplyDeleteI have been loving the peppermint and lavender for m headaches - it really helps!
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch of favorites already, but I find myself using Peppermint and Lavender more often than most, also the Breathe Blend is my new best friend!
ReplyDeleteForgot to put how I use them..a drop of Lavender on my pillow to help me relax, a couple of drops of Peppermint under my tongue for my sinus congestion and the Breathe along each side of my nose and across my forehead.
DeleteThanks for offering this :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite EO is grapefruit as it's so energizing in the morning!
My favorite EO (blend) is Setenity. I use it every day!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to essential oils, but my favorite so far is peppermint oil. I add some to a little cup of baking soda and use as an air freshener. I also use it in my homemade toothpaste recipe. It's a great scent to use in diffusers during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteDoreen
Favorite EO is peppermint for headaches.
ReplyDeleteLoving Motivation Blend! ~ Black Pepper, Lime, Frank, and Wild Orange in the diffuser! It's delightful!
ReplyDeleteDo I really have to choose just one? No I would have to say the Focus mix(peppermint and wild orange) has to be hands down my favorite. I can not tell all the benefits and how much better our life is with the use oil essebtial oils.
ReplyDeleteNew to so so far my fav is lavender
ReplyDeleteI am a beginner with essential oils, but have wanted to try making some shower "bombs" that I saw on pintrest. I am thinking of using either peppermint of eucalyptus.
ReplyDeleteI love lavender & also grapefruit. Is a tie ok?
ReplyDeleteOn Guard us my absolute favorite!! I would use this diffuser EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. if I won. I love your blog and I'm loving all of your fall camp pictures :-) I've lived in Wyoming all my life and wouldn't have it any other way! Thank you for everything you do!
ReplyDeleteI just found your site via your sister's blog...One Good Thing.
ReplyDeleteI love using Breath in my diffuser for my constant sinus problems. Since using that, I have cut down on over the counter products by more than half. I love essential oils!
2 small kids and a husband who never stops going, we wouldn't survive without on guard! We rub it, spray it and inhale it. If only we could diffuse it, wink wink.
ReplyDeleteI am alternating between lavender and lemon in my homemade fabric softener :)
ReplyDeleteI love peppermint for my headaches! Seems to help a ton!
ReplyDeleteI use Lavender, it's very soothing sent helps me relax and unwined at the end of my day.
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to build me a supply of E.O. I use On Guard the most, putting it in all my foam soap dispensers.
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten any doTerra oils yet but have my eye on frankinsense, hoping it will help my pain. I had sometime ago gotten a lavender oil which I use on my pillow at night and also as a perfume abit on the sides of my neck.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love lavender EO the most with On Guard a very close second and my favorite trio is the Cold/Flu bomb you shared not so long ago. Thanks tons for all your great tips. My whole family loves the EO's and my asthmatic son really hopes I win the diffuser so it can go to his house! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten any oils yet. I think I will start with lavender, lemon and melaluca. Thanks for all the info. Hoping it will help me sleep better and get rid of some pain. And I want to make the healing salve.
ReplyDeleteI have tried tea tree oil and lavender, both given to me by my Aunt. I used the tea tree oil for skin irritations and the lavender for making sugar scrubs. My knowledge about EO's is very limited, but I am anxious to learn more. I have looked online and found that many oils claim to be therapeutic grade. What is the difference between DoTerra and some of these other brands? How can I be sure that I am getting a quality oil? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love Tea Tree EO! Someone I know calls it "the medicine cabinet in a bottle"
ReplyDeleteI love peppermint when I am sick. But lavender is a favorite of mine too!
ReplyDeleteLots of favorites. Citrus blend is one of my favorite smells. I love to add it to lots of homemade cleaning and freshening items. Leaves a clean yummy smell behind. My husband and children really like it as well.
ReplyDeleteI love using lemon, orange, or grapefruit in my water. I drink more because of the added flavor. We use OnGuard each morning and evening on our feet. I also carry small bottles of oils in my purse so I always have them with me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of EO with us.
ReplyDeleteI use tea tree in almost everything. I Love lavender and sandlewood. I love oil!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been using the 4 Mood Matrix EO blends, applied to the soles of my feet, and frequently I use On Guard applied to the soles of my feet and a drop On Guard in gingerbread decaf tea. I really need a diffuser! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love Peppermint EO. I use it for headaches and at night before going to bed to make breathing easier. I wake up refreshed and uplifted.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win the diffuser!
I am new to DoTerra and don't know much about them yet. So far I only have a few oils. The one I'm using the most is On Guard. My children were coming down with some colds, and this seems to have stopped it in it's tracks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win a diffuse.
Heather P.
Lavender. I use it everyday. Lavender at night before bed & today I burned my finger and it took the burn out even after a couple of hours of getting to apply it once I got home (won't leave home w/o it again!)
ReplyDeleteI love lavender! I am a stay at home mom and watch kiddos throughout the week. During nap time I put lavender in a water air purifier and it does an ok job, but it would be such a blessing to have a diffuser! Thanks
ReplyDeleteLavendar. It has such a calming effect. You can add it to any homemade cleaning supply. I love walking in to my house after a long day & just smelling the lavendar.
ReplyDeleteLavendar is my favorite. I like to put a few drops in my bath.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say Frankincense and Lavender. Lavender smells so good and you can add it to your laundry soap and spritz for your bed and Frankincense has so many purposes too. I like to use it for the eye treatment.
ReplyDeleteI've heard so much about EO's and have yet to try them. This may be a good first step.
ReplyDeleteI use Eucalyptus in the sauna at the gym! Would LOVE to have a diffuser at home!
ReplyDeleteI have been using On Guard as a rub on everyone's feet every morning and night. Hoping to stay well this flu season.
ReplyDeleteI use citrus bliss the most. It calms the cranky moods of my family.
ReplyDeleteI love Lavender. I put it in my foot soak. A very relaxing smell.
ReplyDeleteI use peppermint for my aches and migraines. I am new to essential oils, but am finding alot of good info here. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is all relatively new to me, but I just ordered some "serenity" to help me through labor when the baby is born!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win!! I use the doTerra Breath for my son when his nose gets all stuffy. I use the coconut oil recipe and it works wonders!! =)
ReplyDeleteI've been using Tea Tree Oil on my toothbrush with toothpaste. I don't love the way it tastes but my mouth definitely feels cleaner and I like knowing that my toothbrush is clean.
ReplyDeleteI love Purify. I add a little bit of it to my counter top cleaner. I also spray some in my dishwasher and my wash machine before I start my load. It makes my house fresh and clean.
ReplyDeleteI love both lavender and clary sage. Depending on my mood I use either of them in bath water and the lavender in lotions.
ReplyDeleteI add a few drops of doTERRA Lavender essential oil to a small spray bottle with water, then spray that on my 16-month-old's lady parts with each diaper change. Totally prevents diaper rash! And some Lavender oil on the bottoms of her feet totally help her sleep, too.
ReplyDeleteWish I had a more original one, lol, but I love tea tree oil. I use it for everything!
ReplyDeleteLavender to help the whole family with new baby transition. Calming, sleep aid, headaches..
ReplyDeleteMy favorite essential for my classroom is peppermint. It makes the classroom smell fresh and clean, and is supposed to assist in energy and thinking. The kids love it!
ReplyDeleteI have to pick just one? I love the woody scents like Sandalwood, but I like to mix them with a bit of a foral like lavender or rose.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite EO (at the moment) is Oregano... I use it as a natural remedy for my son's warts.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm addicted to Onguard!!! I love the smell, taste and everything about it. I use a drop on my toothbrush along with my toothpaste every day!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for running the giveaway - here's the link to the share on my Facebook page:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.facebook.com/#!/HandmadebyLilli
My favourite oil at the moment has got to be good old Tea Tree - it's certainly the one I use the most anyway! When I began using it regularly as a foot soak my athletes foot completely disappeared;I spray a diluted solution on my dogs to prevent fleas; I use it to disenfect my kitchen surfaces; I put a few drops in the bucket to mop the floors with; I apply it directly to cuts and scratches. It's the only oil I always keep 2 bottles of - one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen... just love it!
Love essential oils. Use them in air fresheners ,home made cleaning products and as first aid.
ReplyDeleteLavender and lemon are always at the ready in my house. I can't believe I just wrote that: lavender, traditionally, has given me horrible asthma attacks but, for some reason, in EO form, I can handle it. Right now I have lavender and lemon diffusing in my daughter's room as an uplifting de-stressor. The carpet was cleaned yesterday with a mix of baking soda, lemon & lavender. The washing powder I made yesterday has lemon and lavender in it, and it's the most frequently diffused oil in the house (even the aforementioned daughter, who is a highly skeptical 15 year old, admitted that it soothes her).
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty new to EOs but I use peppermint with water in a spray bottle for my daughter as a No More Monsters spray. It works great and smells just as good, and I know what's in it which is even better.
ReplyDeleteTea tree oil is by far my favorite. Love a little in my homemade hand soap, disinfectant wipes, baby wipes and so much more!
ReplyDeleteLavendar is my fave ... helps me relax
ReplyDeleteLavender... rubbed onto our feet at night. :-) LOVE EO!
ReplyDeleteONGUARD! I use it to clean, diffuse, on my kids, mouth wash, hand sanitiser, colds! I LOVE EO!!!!!
ReplyDeletePeppermint for my headaches and for hubby's heartburn. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWe love the lavendar & it's used in nearly every recipe that calls for essential oils.
ReplyDeleteLike so many above, I also am new to using essential oils. However, I love using lavender when I'm stressed and need to relax. It really helps to calm me down!
ReplyDeleteLavender at night time is the best. I didn't like the scent at first, but now it really relaxes me.
ReplyDeleteToo many great ones to choose from! If I had to pick just one I would have to say Onguard. It smells fantastic & protects my family. We diffuse it three times a day in a lotus, we put it on all of our feet before bed. And if we still get sick then we take more precautions & put it on the roof of our mouth &/or more often on the feet. So many other ways this oil gets used in our home. It is my most shared oil. LOVE Onguard! :-) I would love to win another diffuser so that I could diffuse other oils more often since my is usually full with Onguard ;)
ReplyDeleteSerenity is my favorite. Wonderful to get a good nights sleep.
ReplyDeleteI have a kindergartener this year. He is high energy and has gotten in trouble quite a few times, because of his energy. His teacher has learned that a lavender chammomile scent in the classroom has calmed his energy, and other students, as well. I'd like to win this for her. God love her! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say InTune is my new favorite but I have so many that I love and use often with my family. Last Friday I met with my sons teachers and his speech therapist, teacher and special Ed teacher were so impressed with how focused he had been an how he "stayed with them" through class now! I was so excited! I have amazing tools to help my child who will probably always struggle in school with having to medicate him! I have also loved breath this week, my kids all have coughs and my 6 week old baby girl got this nasty cough as well and since she is so young I can't give her anything but I can use breath an onguard and I am so grateful I have something to ease her cough!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite EO is peppermint. I have bad migraines and it's helps to soothe the throbing pain. I also used it recently to clear up a sinus congestion and it worked wonders. I put one drop on my tongue and pressed my tongue to the roof of my mouth and it help clear up my sinus tremendously!
ReplyDeleteI'd say sandalwood would be my favorite smelling. However, I use peppermint and lavender for migraines most often.
ReplyDeleteLavendar for relaxation, Lemon for cleaning and Peppermint for headaches!
ReplyDeleteYay, letting me comment now! (Glitch earlier wouldn't let me post) LOVE eucalyptus oil! Especially with a family of allergy prone people! Helps to be able to breathe sometimes. I have one small warmer I keep going in my room b/c my hubby is the worst of the lot, but I'd love to have one to put in my daughter's room to help, because if she gets too bad, ear infections happen & antibiotics aren't her friend in the end.
ReplyDeleteI love lemon because it's great for the body and the house.
ReplyDeleteOh my I love them all! My favorite is the lavendar because it smells so good! But I do love the peppermint as well for head aches. Works great!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is an easy one to answer right now. Gotta be Breathe!! I was amazed at how quickly it stopped my last asthma attack in its tracks! BAM, it was gone and I didn't have any jittery effects from using an inhaler! LOVE this oil blend. I applied a drop onto my chest and rubbed it in and held the bottle under my nose for several seconds. I really like the scent of this blend too, about every day I rub a tiny bit of it between my palms and just inhale the fragrance.
ReplyDeleteI love lavendar. Took care of my fire ant bites.
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly new to EO, but I love how versatile lavendar is.
ReplyDeleteI love all the oils but there is one that is on my list to get A LOT...LEMON!! lemon is by far my very favorite. It helps my little 1yr old when he has a runny nose just rubbing one drop with coconut oil on his neck and chest "poof" all cleared up. I love it in my water to drink everyday, I use it to make my own house cleaners smell amazing plus help aid in cleaning. To get that gooey stuff off a container when you peel off the label. Even when I get tired or run down I just rub some on my hands and they smell amazing and it refreshes me. =)
ReplyDeleteI have just started using essential oils. I use lemon, lavender, and tea tree oil.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty new to oils. Lavender is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI use eucalyptus when I am sick, and lavender to de-stress. However, I am quite new to using oils and excited to learn more!
ReplyDeleteI am new to oils, and have been a huge skeptic! I absolutely love breathe! It works miracles with my kiddos during cold and flu season!
ReplyDeleteI recently purchased the doTerra starter kit, plus tea tree. We started out using the lavender oil for my daughters eczema, i has had amazing results. We've also used the lemon and peppermint for any sickness around the house, be it sniffles or tummy bugs and ave been surprised by the out come. I also make homemade laundry soap, toothpaste and deodorant using my oils. I'd like to find some good recipes for homemade cleaners too. Love doTerra!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI am new to oils but I love tea tree and lavender combined for blemishes!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to doTerra Essential Oils but already have integrated several into daily use. My personal favorite is LEMON in my daily water for it's many benefits! BREATHE is also a favorite as it has helped control my hubby's snoring - and me as relief for bronchitis (no more inhalers!). I am loving learning about more and more of the oils and sharing with the younger set in the family. Old dogs CAN still learn new tricks! :)
ReplyDeleteI use eucalyptus oil to ward off headaches caused by chemical smells (most definitely cleaners and perfumes etc) - I love eucalyptus in/on everything...a couple of strong whiffs of eucalyptus and I can usually stop a migraine before it starts!
ReplyDeleteI was sick with pneumonia in march. After 5 bombs in one evening, I was almost better in 3 days. I kept the bomb going morning and night for those 3 days and breathing normal again by the 4th day. Couldn't believe the amazing results!
ReplyDeleteSo oregano, frankincense, melaleuca and lemon!
ReplyDelete
