CW Pooch Pourri! Get Rid of Pooch Puddle Odors with Purify!

Meet the newest addition to our Camp Wander family...Bart.

Bart is our bouncing 12 week old bundle of love!  Weighing in at 30 lbs, soon to be 200 (ish), our Newfoundland pup has us wrapped around his big black paw.

Bart came from a very loving family, as you can see :))

As most of you know, puppies come with their challenges...puddles and piles in the least desirable places!  Funny thing is, my sister Jillee blogged about Getting Rid of Pet Stains just days before we knew that we had a puppy in our future.

Don't you just love how life works?

Let's start with Jillee's great information for INDOOR pooch puddles and pet stains...

Jillee's arsenal includes baking soda and white vinegar....hard to beat that naturally deodorizing combo!  To read and view Jillee's tutorial {Click Here}

Pssst!  Feel free to add 2 to 3 drops of Purify Blend "indoors" too!

Bart is an OUTDOOR puppy and currently wreaking (get it, wreaking) havoc in our garage. We're working with him of course but those puddles become a problem with male dogs.  If the scent remains, chances are someone will come along and cover it up with their own.  Catch my drift?

I'm trying very hard to be delicate here :))

I know you've been wondering...

ENTER:  Essential Oils!

But first, a photo of Roxy...

Best dog known to mankind, keeper of our hearts and Bart's (most patient) adopted Grandmama.

She "owns" her gray don't you think?

She's very dignified.

The OUTDOOR Pooch Pourri Line Up!
{refresh, renew and repel!}

This combination is working fabulously for us!

Because our Newfs are outdoor dogs, I'm more worried about the concrete and wood posts retaining odors (which they do!).

To remove odors from concrete and anywhere else, combine white vinegar with Purify Blend, a blend of essential oils designed to eliminate odors with Lemon, Lime, Pine, Citronella, Melaleuca and Cilantro.

CW "Outdoor" Pooch Pourri:

1 quart bottle of white vinegar
add 10 drops Purify Blend

{drip directly into bottle of white vinegar}

There's an added bonus to Pooch Pourri!  I pour small puddles wherever I don't want Bart to "you know".  The "aromatherapy" of it keeps Bart away, he's not a connoisseur of essential oils like me :))

Please note:  For stubborn spots where there may have been a more solid deposit, scoop away the offending stuff (rinse if needed) then pour enough CW Pooch Pourri to cover the spot, add a generous sprinkle of baking soda for a little extra grit, let sit for 5 minutes then sweep away with a broom.

Okay, being delicate is exhausting...

The End!

Rebecca

  5. I just found Camp Wander a couple of months ago and love your blog!! One question, though. You mention the EO notebook. Could you attach a link that shares how you put the notebook/journal together and how you keep it organized. I think it's an awesome idea!

  7. I bought a couple of dryer "balls" to use in the dryer. I put a strip of felt inside and normally add a drop of lavender in each one, however I think now I'll use some Purify when I wash and dry her bedding. Thanks so much!!

  8. Oh my, just saw the comment about an EO journal. Awesome! I've been jotting down recipes and taping them to the inside of one of my cabinets. I now have a new project in mind!! Thank you so much Rebecca for sharing so much information with us!!

  9. What a great thing to whip up for puppy messes and smells.

    P.S. On a side note, your newf is adorable. We had one names Angus. We had to put him to sleep when he was 14 months old because he was born without a right hip socket. It was a sad day. They grow fast and Angus was 120 pounds but very lean for a news when he passed away.
