Make Your Own Signature Roller Bottles!
Ok, so I might have a thing for rollers!
For the month of April, I created an incentive for the Camp Wander team that I think is the next best thing to Lavender! I thought you might like to know the source of which it comes hither to you...
Warning!
I'm about to mention Young Living, if you're squeamish, afraid of heights or closed minded, please click off ;)

I can't remember how I found them, but they're brilliant. The tops of the CW Signature Roller Bottles are called Roller Fitments. This is a YL product sold through their site, {HERE} or ebay. Instead of a plastic roller ball, the fitting has a steel ball bearing roller and it works loads better than the plastic ones!
...and I might be a tin lover.
If you haven't been to Specialty Bottle, you should go...now. It's an EO lovers worst nightmare in the most wonderful way. I found 5ml green or blue glass bottles that work perfectly with roller fitments! I also found a selection of tins like the one shown above with a window which I like very much. {Click HERE}
If you're going to pack up a tin with roller bottles, keep the bottles from rattling around by picking up a roll of de Grip Superieur, fabulous stuff!
Cut a piece to size and lay it inside, no need to glue.

I found a roll at Costco but every Walmart and most super markets carry it too.
I gave you the sources, now enjoy a lighthearted how-to video. You'll learn how to install the roller fitment...which is worth watching because there is a quick tip for the not so brilliant, such as myself.

I am definitely going to get some of these! (even though i'm a doterra fan...the not closed minded type :)) btw, any chance you got to talk with your sister and may be able to do a webinar/skype conference? I am looking at a class this friday. Maybe we could chat by email? Thank you for being such an amazing wealth of knowledge spot!
OK, I need help. So, I wanted to buy the colored glass bottles. I went to Specialty Bottles...not sure which bottle will fit the rollers that you recommend since I can't see the bottom of the btls. I did not see where they state 5ml or 15ml, they list them as 3/8 or 1 dram or 2 dram...please help. and I could not get the "Here" button to work to bring me to a place to order the rollers. Thank you.
Never mind, I figured it out. I did a search on site of the 5ml and 15ml bottles and they came up. Thank You.
Here button does not work for me.
Love these! Maybe you could have a post about people's favorite self made blends and what they use them for? Would love to hear from others as well...
the Here button is not working for me either
I'm a Young Living distributor and I love your blog! You have so many wonderful ideas and who cares if you don't use the same brand of oils that I do? They all still work wonderfully!
In any case, I was wondering where you get your tins from... I found a site a while back that sells them in bulk, and I was curious to know if there's somewhere I can go where I don't have to buy 144 at a time. Thanks so much!
Camp Wander, I ♥♥♥ these aroma glide tools! I bought some on Amazon a few weeks ago! My morning oil sessions with my son have been "smoother" to say the least!
Kelly W, thank you for saying that about YLEO and DoTERRA oils! You are absolutely correct! Who cares what brand the oils are?! If they work for you GREAT! HAPPY DAYS LADIES!!!
I recently ordered the roller ball tops. It makes putting on DoTerra EOs so much easier....
Yes I'm replying to my own comment. It looks like the Specialty Bottle store has the tin containers that you can buy individually. $1.16 each http://www.specialtybottle.com/tinrectangularwindow55by37hinged.aspx
That's what I love about this blog...it's about what's the best product or recipe no matter who sells/makes it. The blog is funny and upbeat, the ideas are brilliant and the friends are amazing people with positive comments. Thank you all!!!
Oh good! I'll make that clarification on the blog, thanks Marce :))
Thanks Kelly, you're right! The tins and bottles come Specialty Bottles!
AMEN Sisters!!!
Jenn, lets do lunch!!
Kimi, your wish is my command! This is prior blog post with ideas for good roller blends to have on hand!

I, for one, appreciate all the information you pass on to us...ALL of it. <3
So you can pop one of these roller fitments onto a doTerra 5 ml or 15 ml bottle?
Well, Rebecca, I'm just glad you mentioned where you are getting the tins. I was starting to wonder about your family going through crazy amounts of Altoids.... :O)
Too bad we can't just buy everything from one vendor!

My hubby has been wishing for weeks that roller bottles came with stainless rollers, rather than plastic. Can't wait to get them. Also, I've been drooling over the Specialty Bottle website ever since you first mentioned it - now it's time to order! One question, though - do the "dropper caps" that come with the 5ml blue and green bottles interfere with the roller ball, or does the dropper part come out? Or am I looking at the wrong ones entirely? :-)
Never mind - I am a dork! Fitments come with caps, duh. :-)
Ha! No worries :))
Was just looking at Specialty Bottle and I don't even see green bottles listed there anymore let alone a 5 ml size bottle. I wonder if these are so popular now that they are out?!
I use Plant Therapy Essential Oils and since they dont have the SB marking on the bottles can I not use the YL roller fitments? I would really love to use them. Also can the fitments go 1/6 oz rollers from Aroma Tools?
Cate, you'll have to experiment! I've been successful finding bottles that work without the Sb mark. The fitments won't fit the roller bottles from AT however.
I love the idea of these and went out and bought some right away but I cannot get them on my doterra 5mL or 15mL bottles. I even watched the video you posted. Have you had any trouble getting them on doterra bottles (I've tried bottles with and without the "sb" on the bottom)? Is there a trick that I'm missing?
Sometimes you have to put a little muscle into the twisting down of the cap so the roller fitment snaps in. The dT bottles should be the perfect fit...that's the type of bottle the fitments were originally designed for.
Totally loving the YL roller fitments. Thanks for the recommendation. After reading you latest post about DIY Slim & Sassy, I was going to add a bit of Frank to my new, now slightly used bottle of Slim & Sassy that is sporting a new fitment roller on it. Do you know of a way to get these little beauties off of the bottle so you can still futz around with the EOs inside?
Some roller fitments are harder than others to remove. For the stubborn ones, I either use needle nose pliers and gently rock the fitment loose or, use a rubber lid grabber for more traction and do the same thing :)
Where have you found bottles that will work without the Sb mark? And what size were they? I talked to someone at Specialty Bottle, and she told me that the fitaments won't fit the Euro dropper bottle 5 ml or 15 ml size. She suggested I experiment with different size bottles to find some that fit. Problem is, I don't have any empty ones, and I REALLY want to order some bottles and fitaments. Suggestions??
GIRL!!!! I just want you to know, this post is the BEST! Between this and the post about the Lavender Rosemary hair rinse, you've saved our lives! Holy WOW! We use doTERRA EOs and today I upgraded to these metal Rollerballs (I had to tell all my friends "don't judge"...LMAO!). Girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...our lives are too complicated already to have to FIGHT with an attitudinal plastic rollerball with a poor work ethic (hardy-har-har)!
At any rate, we really appreciate everything you post! Love your insight, tips, and HUMOR! Keep it coming!
Much Love from Central FLA!

I would NEVER judge :) We're EO users united! Enjoy!
FYI: I just placed an order for these fitments on the YL website. They're BOGO right now, so if you need some, NOW is the time to order them!! :)
I don't think I've commented on this post recently, BUT, I was able to find the bottles (both 15 and 5 ml size) at Specialty Bottle with the little Sb on the bottom. Both bottles are brown, though. The blue 5 ml ones I have have YB on the bottom.
Anyway, I went online last week to find the fitments and they were BOGO!! I got 4 10-packs for the price of 2! YEA!! :)
Here's my question. I tried them out today, almost immediately after the package arrived, and I mixed up a blend and used the fitment. Is it usual for it to leak thru the roller bottle - if the cap isn't on? If so, will it leak with the cap on? I keep my blends in a tin 99% of the time (so they're laying on their side) and need to make sure, if they are prone to leaking, to be extra careful with them. BTW, the blend did NOT contain Frankincense.
Did the roller fitments fit on the blue bottles? I am about to place an order but thought I should ask first.
The only ones I've found with the sb on the bottom are brown but I haven't ordered any blue ones. Do comment back if you get them and they work. I would go with one to start and if it works, order more.
