I always wish there was a "Like" button at the bottom of your blogs. LOL :-)
:)
YAY! I knew I was going to love this from the title - even before I saw the picture!
I have been using a lavender / melaleuca / FCO blend in a spray bottle for scraped knees and such. I will add the frank and try witch hazel on my next batch instead of FCO. I will keep a spray and roll handy. Sometimes the kids don't want me to touch the owie so a spray works great.
Can you put it into a plastic ball roller bottle?
Sure can Ruth :)
I really want this!!
I believe I am going to make this in the new roller I am getting. :)
Funny thing - I have a little sample bottle with those same oils plus helichrysum I mixed up when my dog bit my finger (my fault by the way). I use it for the beginning of blemishes & other owies. Great minds think alike. LOL I am going to order some of your fave witch hazel & add to the blend too.
My hubby had a quarter size broken blister & I put some on it & he whined like a big baby. He said it burned. That's what he gets when he digs up a bushel of bulbs with a hand trowel & blames me. LOL
I am wondering if you would put this right on a cut or after cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide? The other day I cut my finger and it started bleeding. I poured hydrogen peroxide on it and held it tight until it stopped bleeding and then I put melaleuca on it and a band aid.
I love the idea...but I worry about cross contamination but maybe I am being OCD again. What do you think? Love the blog and all the great info and recipes.
The website you suggested for the bottles has a 10% coupon going on :) I just got more than just the bottles!
I noticed the dropper tops on your SN oils. I feel like I always 'waste a drop' when I mix/use my oils with the orifice reducer. Is this how you have solved this problem, or is there another trick. The doTerra oils come out of there orifice reducer super fast.
Dropper tops are EO savers, that's for sure. I don't have them on all of my bottles but the ones I use often like Lavender, Frankincense etc. all have droppers on them :)
Great!!
One of the beautiful attributes of pure essential oils are their antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal properties. It's just about impossible to cross contaminate :)
To stop the bleeding, a drop of Helichrysum or Myrrh. Once the cut has stopped bleeding, the Healing Stick can come into play!
:)
Thank you ma'am.
Is an orifice reducer drop the same as a dropper drop? Lol, sorry if this is a silly question.
Wondering how long this mixture would remain potent. I would like to keep one in our mini emergency first aid kit--but it may sit unused for quite awhile. Any thoughts??
My daughter got two gigantic bugs bites last night:( I am definitely making a mix of this. Can you tell me how much wich hazel to add? Thank you!
Are these roller bottles refillable? If so how hard are the roller balls to remove?
Not a silly question at all :)
A dropper is simply an eye dropper ~ I should have clarified that!
My daughter got a large road rash on her back side and is complaining of itching. Do you know if these oils would help with that and if they would sting upon application?
This blend would be an excellent healing application...without the sting :)
I fixed up a bottle of this for my daughter and I both. She is almost as excited about EO's as I am. I found the same Witch Hazel on Puritans Pride for $5.50 per 12 oz bottle shipped. You might check there next time you are in the market for some witch hazel.
I purchased the steel rollerball tops and was going to use an empty EO bottle for this, what size bottle would be recommended for the recipe shown?
Great price, thanks Angela!
A 5 ml bottles would work!
What size roller bottle is used for this amount? I have a granddaughter that is always scraping her knee...
Glad that I found this. However this morning you had posted something on facebook-- anyway my phone notified me in regards to a gunkie eye and I think you said to use this. I can't find that post now.. very strange. Anyway my little guys eye is stuck together. Can you please point me in the right direction of what you said about that.
Wipe his eye with a warm, damp wash rag moistened with alcohol free witch hazel if you have it. Dab a blend of Frankincense, Melaleuca and Lavender with FCO/coconut oil around the eye, not in it though!
A 5ml roller bottle :)
After you put the EO drops in the bottle, you fill the rest with Witch Hazel.
Angela, are you sure it was Puritan's Pride? I went to the site and they don't have any liquid Witch Hazel, let alone Thayers. Could it have been a different site?
I just got all my spark oils. I would like to have the dropper tops since I am having trouble with the bottles dispensing the oil too fast. Where can I purchase the ones that fit the spark bottles? Or do you have a source for eye droppers.
Droppers for 5ml and 15ml bottles can be found here!

Mixed up some of this last week and got some use out of it this weekend. I cut the pad of my pinky finger on a stick while helping the kids build a fort - rolled it on and went about my day. 9-year-old son scraped the knuckle of one of his fingers, and I rolled it on - no stinging!! :) Then, last night, I stabbed the inside of my thumb just below the knuckle. I kept it under running cool water (I was working at the sink and needed to finish what I was doing) and then when I was finished, rolled this on it as often as I could think about it. It looks almost healed this morning!! LOVE this blend!
I, too, should probably get droppers for my EO bottles. Can't tell you how many times I've probably mis-counted drops. Maybe one day when I have better storage for them than I do now so that I can read all of the labels.
my thoughts too. I am thinking spray bottle instead of roller.
What do you do with all the orifice reducers when you replace them with droppers?
I've refilled a number of roller bottles.. you do have to wrestle the top off - they sure are made not to come off too easily - but after a few minutes of wiggling it pack and forth, and prying with a spoon, you will get it off.. fortunately, they are much easier to put back on.. just shove 'em in! Make sure you snap them down good and tight.
Can regular witch hazel be used in place of the alcohol free? I've used witch hazel for years, I didn't even know you could buy alcohol free??
Yes, you can use witch hazel with alcohol however, I choose not to because it's more drying to the skin and there's controversy with isopropyl alcohol that you may want to look into.
Is this the same Melaleuca that Lisa Ling just traveled to the Peruvian jungle to do a special report about?
