Easy EO Tea ~ Immunity in a Cup
...and it's DELICIOUS!
It must be Cold and Flu season because I've shared this remedy with enough people in the last week to warrant a dedicated blog post. For the less adventurous types who mentally gag at the thought of an ACV Tonic, here's a kinder, gentler option. A tasty
immunity boosting tea that goes after a virus with good taste, it's delicious and kids love it too.
The photo above was taken last summer while RV~ing it in Star Valley, Wyoming. Rainy days and chilly nights had my favorite camper complaining about a scratchy throat and fever. Tough guy won't swig ACV Tonics so I handed him a "spot of tea" to save an argument. I'm motivated by peace and, results. Shield Tea works like a charm if you're consistent. Remember, EOs are quickly absorbed and utilized by our bodies, frequent application is key!
To a mug of very warm water add:
___________________________________
2 to 3 drops Shield Protection Blend
Special immunity boosting blend of pure essential oils:
Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Lemon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary
1 drop Lemon
anti-bacterial - mucus buster - ease swelling
1 teaspoon raw honey
(**manuka honey if you have it)
Stir and sip slowly several times a day.
**Besides its external healing properties, manuka honey is reportedly also effective at treating stomach ulcers, gastritis, and other digestive problems due to both its anti-inflammatory and probiotic characteristics. Its antibiotic, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties also make manuka honey an effective remedy for sore throats, colds, acne, sinusitis, acid reflux and heartburn, ringworm, and many other conditions.

Thank you for sharing~ This is definitely a keeper for my recipe book! Have a great day!
Hi, you may want to differentiate between "eucalyptus" (which is not advised for internal use) and "eucalyptus radiata". I'm not a Sparks user, I only use doTerra oils for internal usage. OnGuard is the blend that I'm assuming that Sparks has copied as "Shield". Please correct me if I'm wrong! I have a friend who thought it was ok to use Eucalyptus internally, and it isn't. Thanks.
Oh yes, On Guard, dT's duplication of Thieves Blend by YL. While I don't appreciate your insinuation that Shield is a copy of... I will take the time to reassure you that eucalyptus radiata is indeed in Shield Blend.
I'm sorry, I should have worded that in a more tactful way. What I'm wondering is, is there a difference between "Eucalyptus" and "Eucalyptus radiata"? My bottle of Eucalyptus says "Eucalyptus radiata" so are they the same thing? Why can't we use it internally, yet it's in the Shield/Onguard/Thieves blends? Just that someone may see your recipe above, and think "oh, I have those oils but don't have Shield Blend, I'll just sub the oils". Hopefully most EO users would know that they shouldn't ingest Eucalyptus, but my friend didn't, and gave it orally to her child even though it says right on the bottle not for internal use.
woah, why so defensive Rebecca? You presented Spark as a cheaper version of doTERRA to all your readers so I dont understand why that would be an offensive insinuation. I can understand her concern and agree it would be more responsible to listed the full name and even put a little note/warning for less experienced users.
What is the best/easiest way to get one drop at a time from the SN bottles? In making the throat tea, I ended up with 4-5 drops of Shield and 2-3 drops of Lemon.
When in doubt, use a dropper!
