Doc Bronner Soap & Sugar Scrub with Coconut Oil!
Emollient Hand & Body Sugar Scrub
This is why I love surrounding myself with natural ingredients, when inspiration strikes, I can pounce! And I pounced when l noticed my jar of coconut oil snuggled up with Dr. Bronner's Lavender soap on the window sill in my shower...
I happen to love whipping coconut oil with a little olive oil, it's a super emollient combination! This is actually the secret to why this scrub leaves your skin feeling so soft, adding the soap factor gives the scrub even more versatility. Speaking of versatility, Dr. Bronner's soaps are the king of it! We buy large bottles for home, the RV and there's always a bottle in our camp gear. You can wash your hair with it, brush your teeth with it and of course, wash with it...bargain extraordinaire!

I love mason jars as much as anyone but, I love the mason jar's gourmet cousins too. May I introduce you?
Weck jars were originally founded in Germany. Instead of metal rings and lid that tend to rust, Weck jars have glass lids with metal clamps and a rubber ring to keep the contents air tight.
My source is Williams Sonoma, google "weck jars" you can easily do your own price comparisons :)
THE END!
p.s. Wild Orange EO combined with Lavender is spa moment waiting to happen ~ enjoy the aromatherapy of it!

Am I missing where you add the sugar and how much? (I totally could.....it's been a long day!)
Do you fill the container 2/3's up with sugar (like the Dirty Feet Scrub) then pour the coconut oil solution over it? Sounds heavenly!
Whoops...thanks for the quick catch! Fixed :) ...a longer day for some of us!
Robin, with the solid coconut oil and olive oil you'll need to get a hand mixer involved :)
LOOKS LUCIOUS.
This sounds delicious! Can't wait to try it.
Are you psychic? I bought some dr Bronners today planning on some kind of scrub concoction.
Could Dead Sea Salt be used instead of sugar?
ok I am a very much newb here... so here's my question,
what is the differents in cold pressed coconut oil and coconut oil, and solid coconut oil?
or is it all the same??
Could this be used as a face scrub, or would it be too sudsy? I don't really like bubbles going up my nose. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas!
I've been trying to do research on an easy way to make my own liquid castile soap to save money...maybe you could do a post on that?
Cold pressed coconut oil is in a solid state and extra virgin is a higher quality coconut oil :)
Okay, I have tweaked this recipe and your all purpose salve recipe and now I have a perfect gift match made in heaven!!!! I cut back the evoo in the salve and added cocoa butter and Shea butter. With the scrub I used almond oil instead of evoo and added some vegetable glycerin. Used coffee grounds are also awesome in scrubs!!!
this sounds amazing
Could you use coconut sugar in this instead of white sugar?
Yep!
I didn't have any lavender Dr. Bronner's, but I had a ton of the peppermint kind. Planning on using it for reviving my poor neglected heels! It's going to feel soooooo good!
Can't wait to try this. I already have all the ingredients. I just need to get a Weck Jar. What size jar will this recipe fill up?
