EO Bombs! Kill Common Skin Viruses with Ugly Names Like Wart & Skin Tag!
Don't hate the frog, it's tough being green.
But, it's tougher dealing with common warts or skin tags, annoying pests that they are! The good news is, they're easy to remedy with a few mighty EO Bombs!
Common warts and plantar warts are actually viruses, that's why they're so difficult to get rid of...permanently. Essential oils however, are VERY effective in killing viruses, more so than traditional OTC remedies, because EOs can penetrate cell walls where antibiotics cannot.
Oregano is a powerful EO! CPTG Oregano is one to be handled carefully as it's a hot oil and can burn normal tissue. However, when dabbed on warts and skin tags, it will become your new BFF!
Frankincense is the great enhancer!
Layer this EO with milder, gentler oils like lavender or lemon and it creates a powerful duo. These are wonderful combos for kids!
Lemon EO is a basic EO that everyone should have in their medicine cabinet! One of the least expensive oils with a broad spectrum of attributes! Lemon is wonderful for healing and drying out cold sores too!
Lavender is a special EO with wonderful, gentle qualities. This EO is particularly great for kids and babies. When in doubt use lavender, it's highly effective and easy to use on everyone!
Any one of these EOs or any combination will knock those nasty viruses out of your system with consistent use until symptoms are gone!

How to apply:
Apply morning and night. If using Oregano, use a Qtip to dab one drop of on affected area...this will give you good control of application. Oregano is a hot oil so you won't want to spread it around. Skin tags fall off quickly with Oregano, you'll be impressed! Wart removal can take several weeks depending on how large it is underneath the skin.
For kids: Lavender or lemon works wonderfully too! Apply morning and night and don't cover with a bandaid, it's important to let the area breathe. Also, it's convenient to put the EO in a roll-on bottle so kids can apply themselves...they like taking charge :)

You couldn't have posted this at a better time... I just took my toddler to the ped for a small wart on his finger, and her suggestion was to either freeze it off or use those topical treatments OTC. Neither of which I'm very comfortable with (he's only 22 months). What would you recommend as an EO to cure his wart?
Apple cider vinegar works great for warts. My hubby had a HUGE planters wart on his foot. The doc told him he'd need surgery to get rid of it and that was not an option. He used cotton pads soaked in ACV covered with duct tape on the bottom of his foot every night. After a few weeks it was gone! I've used this method on my fingers (with a band-aid) and it works great. Good luck!
This is perfect! I have a skin tag on my back, right above where my pants sit. It's unsightly, but I am hesitant to have a dr. take it off. I am going to have to try the oregano oil on this! Thanks for another great tip.
Laugh all you want, but wrap warts in electric duct tape before you go to bed nightly for a few days and it will disappear.

I just started using Lemon Oil on my 9 yr old son. Would you recommend adding the Frankincense? at what ration? Do you have any idea how long it will take to start seeing results? I just started following your blog, you have such great info here! Thanks!
Frankincense is always a good idea! If you're adding Frank, I would mix just a few drops with the lemon together in a glass bottle or roll on, equal parts Frank to Lemon isn't necessary. You would be adding a little Frank to enhance the potency of the Lemon oil. It could take a couple weeks or so. Thank you for the kind words!

It is now November 20th but with 2x daily application of lemon oil and Frankincense my son's warts are pretty much gone...probably just a couple of more weeks but I am so thankful for you posting this! The OTC remover was absolutely not going to work and they were really bothering him aesthetically. Thank you so much and to anyone wondering, it really does work! Just be patient. Does the Lemon or Lavender work for skin tags too? I'm not to sure if I Oregano would be a good thing to try on my Pup with allergies...

Lemon works for skin tags but it takes longer. Oregano should be fine but you only need a tiny amount. I would recommend getting a drop on the end of a Qtip and gently dabbing skin tag only as Oregano is hot and can irritate skin.
Hi, nice post. Any idea what could work for acne breakouts, specially blackheads (I can't stand having them...)? I've used tea tree oil, but it doesn't seem to work all that well for me. Thanks!
A doTERRA blend of EOs called Purify has worked wonders for blackheads and acne :))
Just a thought: how about protecting skin around the warts/tags with aquafor? That way the oregano is only getting on the tag/wart and the "burning" won't hurt the "good" skin? I would think using a carrier oil would just allow the oregano to sit on good skin?
my skin tags are under my arms which EO should I use?
Very sensitive area! I would use Lemon or even Frankincense...which would be so beneficial to all those lymph nodes nearby :)
May sound like a stupid question but i know nothing about these EOs...what does it mean that it's HOT?? It burns the skin?? Also I was told that all the bumps on my legs and one on my arm are old age non virus warts of some sort. The dermatologist told me this. i've googled it and come up with nothing. Do you know what these are or ever heard of them? They are flat and sorta wart looking but not really raised like a normal wart is. i've had regular wats before and there is a difference. They are all sorts of sizes and my legs are full of them People really don't notice them unless I point them out (at least that is what they say! lol) I am wondering if any of these EOs would work. He told me to get some lotion with Salicylic acid in it. He said it won't make them go away but could prevent the smaller ones from getting bigger..I would like t find something that will take them off...

Traci, if you have more than a few, I'd recommend Frankincense...it's not a hot EO and would be easier to apply plus, the benefits of Frankincense are valuable is a myriad of ways.
Apply topically 2x daily...undiluted.
I used oregano and it did get on my sons skin.....What can i do to help it not burn now?
You might want to switch to Lemon EO for a child, if not...try swabbing a carrier oil on the skin surrounding the skin tag first, then carefully touch the tag with a drop of Oregano on a Qtip. If some EO should get on the surrounding skin it will dilute the hot oregano.
This is perfect timing! My 6 year old daughter has a huge plantar wart under her small toe. I have no idea how to treat it. I have oregano oil at home. Will try tonight for sure! I just need to cover it up right? Will treating it this way keep it from returning?
