DIY Moon Sand with EO's! Calming & FUN!

A FUN idea that just begs for EOs!

When you get a chance, please check out Skip to My Lou, a great blog with tons of creative ideas and projects!  Cindy's tutorial was perfect, I'll only be adding essential oils at the end :))

Lets start with the HOW TO:

Start with...

9 cups of Crayola Play Sand

{The finer the sand, the better!  Found @ Walmart}

Add - 3 cups Cornstarch

Add - 2 1/2 cups Water
{keep adding water to get desired consistency}

the fun part...

{Fyi:  Next playtime you may need to add a little more water to moisten}

Now, why not add a few drops of essential oil to enliven the sensory experience of mooshing and sqooshing!  Here's some ideas...

Oh the possibilities!

The essential oil choices and combinations are almost endless....use your imagination and keep in mind what your child's needs are.  A natural in the classroom at school OR home...

...by the way, moon sand is great for seniors too!  Good exercise and a gentle sensory experience for young and "seasoned" alike :))

Have fun today!

Do you think I could use flour instead of the sand?
